School getting in the way

Exactly what the title says. School as thrown down a lot on me. I haven’t even edited the test podcast we did a little while ago, because every time I get close to being able to do it, another assignment comes my way. None of the other guys know how to do it, except for Mark, our audio guy when we record, but he is more busy that I am, and I was going to do the first one to give him a rough idea of what it should sound like. I think in the next couple days (after spring break) I am going to take the time, and just do it. Then we need to sit down, and decide exactly what we are going to put in here, because we still have no idea if we want to do a show just about the school, or a general show, and see what happens.

Anyway, just thought it would be a good idea to update, if anyone still cares. This will happen eventually, I promise, but maybe not until we live together next year (well only a few months really, the next school year)

Test Recording

We have done our first test recording. We didn’t really decide much, it was just screwing around. We still need a theme song, and don’t have any clue what exactly we are going to do for a format. This thing will probably never see the light of day, but you never know. I plan on editing it sometime soon (maybe this weekend), and we will see what we have. If anyone has any suggestions, as far as themes, topics, ect…, email DormCast@gmail.com. Also follow me on twitter.com/wingdom to see what I am up to personally. I am trying to get the other guys on it too, so soon hopefully they will be there.

Continuing Working

We are making progress, and I expect that we will be able to lay down a test recording relatively soon. The issue about the recording equiptment has been solved, and we have sat down and talked about…well…what to talk about. Not completely sure, but it will hopefully work itself out. This weekend, hopeffully before the Superbowl, another meeting will happen, and more decisions will be made.

Alright, I have to get back to class, more info will come.

DormCast

Welcome to the official site for the DormCast, the show about a couple guys and a couple more in college hanging out and talking about what’s important and what isn’t. This show is still in the idea/planing stage, and there are no promises on when it will show itself. The hosts are pretty much set, there might be a little rotation. A sound guy has been found, hopefully, at least for now, who knows how that will fan out. We are on the hunt for the right equipment to get the right sound, and other things are slowly falling into place.

As time goes on, more posts will be written, and people will be introduced, but as of today, no promises are being made.
